Eve
Name means: Life
Parents: N/A
Husband: Adam
Children: Cain, Abel, Seth
Found in: Genesis 1-5
Eve was the first woman. She was created from one of Adam's ribs to
be a companion to him. Together, Adam and Eve lived in the Garden of
Eden. One day, however, she was tempted by the devil to eat from the
Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. She also gave some to her
husband and so both fell into sin and were sent out of the garden.
After this, Adam and Eve had many children and did as God has
commanded: "Be fruitful and multiply; fill the earth and subdue it;
have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air,
and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
Genesis 2:23 - And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
