Job was a rich man who lived in Uz in the early days. He honored and feared God, living a pleasing life before God. God allowed trouble into Job's life to test him and to see whether Job would continue to seek God in times of hardship. Through this time Job wrestled with God, but in the end he accepted the sovereignty, power, and wisdom of God and humbled himself. God blessed him with great riches, ten children, and a long life. By this example, we are taught to honor God and persevere to the goal.
Job 1:8 - And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?
